Buddy, 78, of Oakdale went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2012 surrounded by the love of his family.
His father, Walter Theo "Pappy" Kelly; mother, Sarah Pamelia "Meade" Strother Kelly; brother, W.T. Kelly; and his daughter, Katherine "Kae" Kelly, as well as his half brothers Walter Theo Kelly Jr, Dan Maricle and Foster Maricle and half sisters Thelma Louise Kelly Millican, Lizzie Maricle Johnson and Bessie Mae Maricle Mott precede him in death, as well as his grand parents Azariah Columbus Strother and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Strother and James E Kelley and Martha Jane Travis Kelley.
Buddy was born February 16, 1933, in Oakdale and resided there the majority of his life. His greatest love in his life was his family unity. He also enjoyed playing poker with his friends and being on the lake fishing. He worked as an iron worker, welder, pipe liner, heavy equipment operator, and business agent for local 406. He owned and operated Kelco Construction until his retirement.
Buddy is survived by his four sons, Gary Bozzell (Charlotte) of Oakdale, Ken Kelly (Vicki) of Elizabeth, Patrick Kelly (Cheryl) of DeQuincy, and Michael Kelly of Carlyss; one daughter, Maureen Kelly of Lake Charles; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were - Chris Kelly, Justin Kelly, Andrew Kelly, Shawn Bozzell, Eric Smith, and Leonard King.
