Funeral services were held July 5, 1999 for Joseph Paul Wyatt Sr., 67, of Buck Ridge Rd., Crossville, who died July 3 at Cumberland Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 21, 1931, in Cumberland County, the son of Robert F. and Fannie F. Croft Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt was a superintendent of plant engineering for the Ford Motor Company, and he was a member of the Church of Christ. He also was a pilot and flew his own plane and loved hunting, fishing and flea markets.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Joan Sapp Wyatt of Crossville; son, Joseph P. Wyatt Jr. (Lisbeth); daughters, Diane Wyatt (Don Bedford), and Pamela-Dick (Greg); grandson, Joseph Wyatt Bedford; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Vera Wyatt, and three sisters and brothers-in-law Bessie and Everett Bolin and Beulah and Milo Webb, all of Crossville, and Joyce and Terry Sykes of McEwen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fannie Croft Wyatt; brothers, Samuel Andre and Earl Wyatt; and sisters, Minnie Lois Wyatt, Cleo Ellsworth, Alice Bolin and Annie Upchurch.
Funeral services were at the Chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home with burial in Newton Cemetery, Bro. Richard Barnes officiating and Bilbrey's presiding.
Pallbearers were Joseph Wyatt Jr., Donald Bedford, J.L. Brewer, Richard Webb, Junior Bolin and Hollis Bolin
