Lora Anne Hiltabidel, 89, of North Platte, passed away Feb. 22, 2012, at home. She was born in Arlington on Sept. 23, 1922, to Howard and Anna Marie (Stroh) Jensen. She graduated from Blair High School and on Aug. 30, 1941, was united in marriage to Clifton Hiltabidel at Blair. Lora worked in the Credit Department at Sears for more than 26 years, and was a faithful member of First Evangelical Lutheran for 63 years. She also was a member of the RSVP, Social Order of Beauceant and Lake Maloney Golf Course.Lora is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Stoll, of North Platte, and Cheryl (Ron) Rains, of Brighton, Colo.; four grandchildren, Angela (Lorr) Quinn, Amanda (Jason) DeLong, Stephanie (Ryan) Ross and Jeremy Stoll; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew and Alexander Ross, Conor and Kenna Quinn, Adam and Matthew DeLong, Brooklyn Stoll; and adopted family, Shawn, Grace, Christina and Steven Helgeson; two sisters, Dot Bearden, of Alexandria, Va., and Edie (Neil) Rosenbaum, of Kennard; two brothers, Howard (Barbara) Jensen, of Springfield, Mo., and Jack (Opal) Jensen, of Arlington; a sister-in-law Kathleen Keefer, of Traer, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hiltabidel, of Rittmen, Ohio; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Memorials are suggested to First Evangelical Lutheran Church
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Frank Fitch and Marcia Dorn A.I.M. officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
