Lila L. Hansen, 79, of Blair, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Lila L. (Wolsmann) Hansen was born July 20, 1924, in rural Kennard to Soren and Clara (Follen) Wolsmann. She was baptized on Nov. 2, 1924, and confirmed on June 20, 1937, at Emmaus Lutheran Church. She graduated from Kennard High School.

On Feb. 26, 1947, she married Albert Hansen.

Mrs. Hansen was a lifelong resident of the Kennard and Blair area. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Orum, and volunteered at the Washington County Food Pantry and the blood bank, and spent time visiting with residents and staff at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

She loved being with her family, playing pinochle with friends, and spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her husband, Albert “Bud” Hansen, son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Joyce Hansen of Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Marty Gearhart of Missouri Valley, Iowa; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Wolsmann of Blair; sister, Roma Gehrk of Blair; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Roy Fauss Nickerson.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum and Blair Rescue Squad.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
