Services for Curtis M. Kramer, 60, of 37 Chestnut St., Shillington, a welfare investigator for Berks County who died last night in the Reading Hospital, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in his home.
The Rev. W. Ronald Yocum will officiate and burial will be made in the Laureldale Cemetery. The Naftzinger Funeral Home, Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
Kramer, a former chief deputy controller under both Ralph E. Schoener and W. John Blatt, had been a patient in the hospital since Jan. 26.
A Democrat, he had been employed in several different county positions during a career spanning 29 years. He first joined the controller's staff in 1939.
Born in Alleghenyville, he was a son of the late Isaac A. and Sarah L. (Hoffert) Kramer. His wife, Clementine, died four months ago.
He was a member of the Alleghenyville Church of Christ, Alleghenyville; the Young Men's Democratic Assn.; the Leesport Fire Co. and the Berks Firemen's Assn.
He was survived by a daughter, Evelyn, wife of John W. Herbine, Leesport R.D. 1.
