Funeral Services for Sally Lou Madewell Bilbrey, age 71, will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home with interment in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 24, 2012, from 5:00 – 9:00 pm and on Saturday, February 25, 2012, from 10:00 am until time of the service.

Mrs. Bilbrey passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at her residence.

She was born October 3, 1940, in White County, TN to the late Jessie James and Maggie Carmack Madewell.

Mrs. Bilbrey was a member of the Sycamore Church of Christ and a homemaker. Sally enjoyed reading books, working puzzle books, talking on the telephone to her many friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very thoughtful and compassionate lady.

She is survived by daughters: Ellen Elrod Conatser and Zella Elrod Johnson & Ronnie Phillips of Cookeville, brothers: James Madewell of Cookeville and Harold Davis of Lawrenceburg, TN, grandchildren: Jonathan Conatser, Kayla, Cody and Austin Johnson, Katie Lawson and Joseph Phillips, a niece: Shirley DuBusk of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James William Elrod, son: Donald Elrod and an infant sister.

She married Cecil Glenn Bilbrey Jan 1986 in Putnam City, TN

Pall Bearers will be family and friends.

Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
