In 1900 their paternal grandmother, a widow, Agnes Belle (Hulings) Stainbrook is also in the household. The whereabouts of the children's father is not known.
In her father's death notice in 1939 she is named Charlotte Poland. The Poland identity and relationship is not known.

Married a second time to Hiram Owen Wilson. Unable to locate her again until her death in California 1982.
Charlotte inherited the Stainbrook "long lives" gene as she was 95 years old at the time of her death. She is buried close to her second husband, Hiram in an unmarked grave.
