Lois Brown, 86, of Blair, died Thursday, September 16, 1999, at Crowell Home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 17, 1999 at Country Bible Church.

Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Lois Mae Brown was born June 27, 1913, to Eli Burke and Lilly Mae Clevenger in Springfield, Mo.

As an infant, she moved to Omaha with her parents. She attended school in Omaha and graduated from South High School in 1931. She then attended secretarial school and was employed with the Safeway Stores in the corporate office.

On August 29, 1936, she married Roy Brown in Omaha. They moved to Blair in 1947, where they owned and operated a feed and poultry business.

She was a member of Country Bible Church and over the years, had served as a Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lu Brown of Blair; and four grandchildren, Lans, Jayme, Brett and Brian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and another brother Buck Burke.
