Mrs. Eva Swan Sackett, native of Randolph, died April 29 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace S. Wrench, in Los Angeles, Calif. She had been critically ill for several months. Funeral and burial services were conducted in Los Angeles last Saturday.
She was born May 24, 1865, being daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Swan. Attending Randolph schools she graduated at Chamberlain Institute. She married Albert Sackett, who died several years ago: there were four children. Harriet and Arthur Sackett, who have died, and surviving are one son Robert D. Sackett, and Mrs. Wrench. There are two grandsons, Donald Wrench of Los Angeles and Peter Sackett of Buffalo. Also surviving is her brother, Arthur Swan of Jamestown.
Mrs. Sackett was a member of the Congregational Church here, and during the years she spent in Randolph was a leader among the young people of the community. She is most affectionately remembered by her former associates.
