Member of Hollywood American Legion Post 43, Hollywood, California from 1938 to 1944. Employed in 1938 as a private police officer for 20th Century Fox Studios.

Died on 4 April 1944 of a kidney disorder and heart attack, and buried in Forest Lawn on 7 April 1944.
