Mrs. Amelia Pluess Succumbs in West
Word has been received here of the death at Long Beach, California, Wednesday of Mrs. Amelia Burkhalter Pluess, 95. She was a native of this community, was the widow of Emil Pluess and moved west in 1920. She was the last survivor of her family.
Four sons survive. They are Walter, Detroit; Karl, Indianapolis; Martin, Greenwood, Ohio and Frank of Long Beach, California. Mrs. Pluess was a sister to Mrs. Ed Stahly, Mrs. Fred Eichenberger and Mrs. Eugene Kneuss.
Mrs. Pluess was born Dec. 19, 1860.
Services will be at Long Beach, and burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Los Angeles.
