Freda married Mirl E Crowton on 17 September 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Freda later remarried to James Angus Frank Monroe in about 1930. She lived most of her live in Los Angeles County, California, including in San Fernando and North Hills.
Freda was a noted portrait, still life, and scenery painter. She took lessons from the portrait artist Edward Runci, who painted Carla Wittel at the piano. (Carla Marie Wittel (1933-?) was Freda's niece, the daughter of Anna Maria Vogtsberger Wittel.)
Freda Vogtsberger died at the age of 91 years on 9 August 1994.
