Esther Friesen was the daughter of Jacob C and Katherine (Bartel) Friesen. She was born January 31, 1909 at Jansen Nebraska. In 1910 the family moved to Meade, Kansas when Esther was about 20 months old. She attended McNulty School until about 1923 when the family moved to Fairbury Nebraska. She completed her education in Fairbury. She was employed at the Fairbury Journal office and Hested store. She married Wayne McCreight son of Mr. and Mrs. Garfield McCreight of Fairbury Nebraska on September 15, 1935. After their wedding they move to Sterling Illinois. In 1941 they moved to Glendale California and made their home at 1321 E. Harvard. Esther and Wayne had no children. Esther passed away after a lingering illness on May 4,1954 in Glendale California.

There is a grave with what appears to be the exact same marker in Nebraska (see memorial # 109958089) but the same marker is on a grave at Forest Lawn Glendale and according to the cemetery office records in Glendale she is actually buried in Glendale.
