Robert W Leicester: Pioneer scenic artist in the film industry. He began his career with Essanay in Chicago in 1908 and then move to the Selig studios. He also worked with the Metropolitan Opera, the Boston and San Francisco Opera companies and the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theatre. He moved to Hollywood in 1928 as art director for Paramount pictures and also worked with several other studios. He died of uremic poisoning in Hollywood.
