I have constructed a basic timeline from my research on his life.

It is unclear where in Burlington County he was born, though both his parents were of Evesham, his parents were married in Northampton (now Mt. Holly). Unfortunately there are no real property records for Daniel in New Jersey, so it is probably they were living on Daniel's fathers farm in Evesham, but this is speculation at this point.

At any rate, when Nathan was about 4 years old, his family moved to Sugar Creek Township, Greene County, Ohio. There he lived with is family and then was married at the age of 24 to Mary Ellen James. While living in Bellbrook, they had James and Alice. I believe that Nathan and Mary stayed in Bellbrook as Alice was born on the EXACT date of Nathan's father's purchase of farm land down in Indiana. Then, after Mary was feeling well enough, they must have moved to that farm with baby Alice and 5 year old James, as Alice dies the next Spring in Ladoga.

After this tragedy Nathan finally purchases a house in town on January 31, 1857, moving their only son now James in with them. In that house was probably born Charles and Lida. Lida however only lived a couple of years, dying in 1866.

Then Nathan and Mary obtained land near Watseka, Iroquois, IL, and it is unclear at this writing whether they maintained 2 residences or not. I believe they probably picked up and moved the family there after Lida's death, although they are mentioned in the 1870 census as still
living in Ladoga. So they may have moved after that census, and in 1876 Mary died.

Then Nathan remarried a Winnie Jewett in Watseka at the age of 53. Afterwards, he relocated back in Ladoga, perhaps it was too hard living where his wife died, so he returned to the Strattans back in Indiana, or perhaps it was too hard on his wife's family seeing Nathan with a 2nd wife, whatever the case he was in Ladoga by the 1880 census. From there there is evidence that he ran a Restaurant for a while.

Then sometime after 1880 and before 1897, Winnie died and he married for a final time to Josephine Reeve at the age of 72. They were married at St. Joseph, Berrien, MI, and he travelled to marry her, but they lived in Ladoga. He then spent the rest of his life with her which was about 6 years and died in Ladoga, his last wife eventually moved back to New Jersey and passed away there.
