Moses Couzzens Davis, 76, of 1570 South Ogden Drive, Los Angeles, Calif., former Utah lawyer, died at five forty-five p.m. Sunday at his home.

Mr. Davis was born in Malad Valley, Idaho, August 1869, a son of Richard J. and Elizabeth Couzzens Davis. In June, 1898, he married Maybell Thurman in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. She is a daughter of the late Judge Samuel R. Thurman, Utah supreme court.

Mr. Davis was graduated from Harvard in 1893 and in 1901 he was graduated as a law student from University of Michigan. He taught languages at B.Y.U. Provo from 1894 to 1898. He moved to California about 20 years ago.

Surviving are his widow, Los Angeles, and the following sons and daughters: Thurman, Philip and Thomas Davis, and Mrs. Maybell Anderson, Los Angeles; Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan, Sacramento, Calif., and the following brothers and sisters: Attorney John C. Davis, Ogden, Utah; Robert C. and Richard L. Davis, Glendale, Calif.; Seymour Davis, Heyburn, Idaho; Mrs. E. F. Schettler, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Letitia Randot?, Mount Hollywood, Calif.

Funeral services will take place in Los Angeles.
