Parents, William M. and Millicent (Botwright) Burton. Born, Southend-on-Sea, England Sept. 16, 1891. Married, Leona Vivian Fallo, April, 1920. Daughter: Vivian Leona. Educated, Schools of England of the Lancaster area, Calif., (Del Sur). Occupation: Member, Firm of Burton Bros., Mining and Milling, Southern Kern County, Rosamond, and Inyo County, Calif. He was in farming and stock raising in the Antelope Valley 1900 to 1906. He was engaged in lumber work in Canada 1907-09. He went with the Home Mining Co. and Hamilton Mine 1909 and remained there until 1912, when he went in the Garage business at Monrovia, Calif. In 1914 he returned to the Home Mining Co. and Hamilton Mine and was there until 1918. He was in the U.S. 319th Engineers 1918-19. In 1919-20, he was engaged in ship building, San Francisco. From 1920 to 1928 he was with Clifford Burton on the Tropico mining property. He became a member of the Burton Bros. Powder Sales organization, in 1923 and a member of the Burton Bros., Mining and Milling organization and he has been engaged in mining and mill operations in Southern Kern County, Inyo County and Arizona as a member of Burton Bros. since 1928. Member: 319 Engineers, (U.S.A.); Antelope Valley Post American Legion; Piute Country Club; Mining Association of the Southwest. Recreations: Motor yachting, fishing, golf, ranch property development.
