Eugene (or "Gene") was born on 29 Sep 1888 in Newton, Harvey, Kansas, USA to Clement Baker Blodgett (1864-1945) and Minnie Louisa Metcalf (1866-1911). Gene married Rose W Walters in Boston, Mass, on 2 Sep. 1914. He was an electrical engineer and sales executive for General Electric. They moved to South Pasadena, California in the early 1920s for Gene's health [legend]. He suffered from TB [death cert]. He died on 26 Aug 1949 in the Altadena Community Hospital in Los Angeles County at age 60.
