Danish Lutheran pastor who emigrated to America in 1872. Two year later he was ordained and joined the Danish-Norwegian Conference. He served congregations in Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin before resigning from the Danish-Norwegian Conference in 1884. In that same year he helped found the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church Association in America and Trinity Seminary, Blair, Nebraska. He was a professor at Trinity Seminary from 1884 to 1889 and again from 1895 to 1897. He was the editor of two Danish journals, "Dansk Luthersk Kirkeblad", from 1877 to 1884, and "Danskeren" from 1903 to 1920/21.
