Adolph Charles "Ad" Allegrini started boxing as an amateur in 1922 and went to the 1924 Olympics in Paris as part of the US Boxing Team; he didn't end up competing, however, due to an injured hand. He did help out the team by donating blood to one of his fellow boxers in an emergency. He had a brief but respectable pro boxing career before turning to other lines of work. (His ring record can be found in the Boxing Rec encyclopedia where he is mistakenly listed as "Al" Allegrini). Parents were Joseph and Angelina nee Fasolo (d. 1953). He had a brother, Antonio (d. 1967) and a daughter Shirley (b. 1934)
