William Price Buhrman was the first son born to Rev. Francis Asbury Buhrman and Virginia Crabtree (Price) Buhrman. He was a Methodist Minister and was a member of the East Tennessee Holston Conference.

He married Effie Mae Ronk Sept. 27, 1900 in New Ross, Montgomery County, In. They lived in Spring City Town, Rhea County, Tn. following the marriage.

Their children were: Asbury Ronk Buhrman who married Doris Johnson; William Edward Buhrman who married Mary Ann Cobb; Virginia Catherine Buhrman who married Wirt Hines; Ruth Elizabeth Buhrman who married Thomas Spencer McClary, Jr.; and William Price Buhrman, Jr. who married Helen Graf.

Records show he registered for World War I draft in Jacksonville, Fl. in 1918.

William and Effie lived in Pueblo, Colorado in 1910 Census. He had pastorates in Starkville, Ms. and Florida. In the 1920 census, he lived in Ocala, Fl. In the 1930 census, he lived in Sanford, Fl. From 1945 on, he lived in Miami, Fl.

He obtained a doctorate degree and was a former teacher at Martha Washington College in Abingdon, Va.

He passed away on Jan. 4, 1968 at the age of 94 in Miami, Fl. At the time of his death, his survivors were his two daughters, Mrs. W. A. Hines, Starkville, Ms; Mrs. T. S. McClary, Miami, Fl; and a son, W. E. Buhrman, Tallahassee, Fl.
