Mrs. E. R. Gilbert, of San Jose, Calif., died Friday, Jan. 25, 1957, as the result of a heart attack which she suffered on Jan. 1. She was the former Miss Laura Jane Skinner of Plum Twp., Armstrong County. She was born in 1874 a daughter of Loran and Hannah Skinner. In 1892 she was married to the late Edward R. Gilbert of Pittsburgh. The couple spent most of their married life in Kittanning. Survivors are ten children, Mrs. J.A. (Mabel) Larimer of Brookville, Alford B. and Mrs. Clifton (Margaret) Wolfe, both of Kittanning; Neil of Lanham, Mr.; Corbin of Denver, Colo.; George, Loran, Josephine, Mrs. Boyd (Alice) Fair and Mrs. R. J. (Claire) Hoye, all in California. She also leaves 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Zellefrow of New Brighton, Mrs. Nettie Stanford of Sharon and Mrs. Mable Clever of Hollywood, Calif. Funeral services will be held in San Jose, followed by burial in Forest Lawn cemetery, where her husband was buried in May 1943
