|Birth: ||Sep. 25, 1872|
|Death: ||Mar. 10, 1910|
Died from Tuberculosis. Was the son of Walt and Amanda Jowers and husband of Alice Woods.
On Sunday March 10, 1918 at four o'clock all that was mortal of Newt Jowers took its flight from earth to His God. Mr. Jowers had been in failing health for some months and confined to his bed all winter. Death was a relief to him for he was a good man, was a member of the Baptist Church and a true Christian, a faithful husband and devoted father. He is survived by his wife and two sons, one sister and six brothers. He was buried Monday at the Bible Grove graveyard. Only those who have suffered a like loss can sympathize with Mrs. Jowers and family. To Dock and Estes we would have them prepare to meet father in his heavenly home, for where Mr. Newt is we can go by living as he did.
