Mrs. S. J. Wolfgang- East Pembroke Young Woman Died at the Batavia Hospital- East Pembroke, Dec. 2. Mrs. Glenna McGivern Wolfgang, wife of Simon J. Wolfgang and a daughter of Louis Albert and Laura J. McGivern, died at the Batavia hospital at 7 o'clock yesterday morning. She was taken ill with Influenza a week ago at the home of her parents at Papermill, 11/2 miles northwest of this place. Pneumonia developed and on Friday morning she was taken to the hospital. Mrs. Wolfgang was born at North Collins on August 4, 1900 and on January 31, 1918, she was married to Simeon J. Wolfgang, then foreman at the Big Soldier coal mine in Jefferson county, Pa. Later he was drafted and is still in training at Fort Dupont, Delaware City, Del. A short time ago Mrs. Wolfgang came from Sykesville, Pa., to remain during the absence of her husband with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. McGivern, who purchased the Tice place at Papermill and moved there from Niagara Falls. Besides her husband and her parents, Mrs. Wolfgang is survived by three sisters and a brother, Martha Fay, Mona Elsie and Florence and Douglas McGivern, all of whom live at home. The funeral was held from T. J. Gallagher's undertaking parlors in Batavia this afternoon and the burial took place in the Elmwood Cemetery, The Rev. Cyrus A. Johnson officiated.
