Zelda Mitchell Cochrun, 87, Russell, died Thurs. Jan. 15, at Gt. Bend. She was born May 31, 1910, in rural Russell, the daughter of Fred and Carrie (Ballard) Carroll. A lifetime Russell area resident she was a homemaker and worked at the O'Brien Café, Russell, for a time. She married Ralph Terry. He preceded her in death. She married Oscar R. Mitchell on April 23, 1936, at Gt. Bend. Mr. Mitchell died Dec. 4, 1969. She married Arlo B. Cochrun on July 19, 1970, at Gt. Bend. Mr. Cochran died Jan. 10, 1988. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Russell, and was associated with Faith Fellowship Chapel, Bunker Hill.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Mitchell of Russell, Gail Terry of Culbertson, NE, Fred Mitchell of Ellinwood and Stanley Mitchell of Garden City; a daughter, Daisy Pfannenstiel of Russell; two stepdaughters, Marceline Bender and Glenna Pascahl, both of Russell; several grandchildren, gt. grand and gt. gt. grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Mitchell; a daughter, Margaret Kennedy; and a stepson, Oscar Bill Mitchell.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sat. at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Russell, with Revs. Fred Kirkpatrick, Jim Swank and Bud Prentice officiating. Burial will be in Russell City Cem., Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell is in charge.
