Birth: Jan. 14, 1913
Cleveland
Cuyahoga County
Ohio, USA
Death: Dec. 26, 1979
Fort Lauderdale
Broward County
Florida, USA

Born Joe Fox to my maternal Grandparents, Joe & Katie Fox in Cleveland, Ohio while living at 1134 East 33rd Street. His birth certificate is Registration No. 8116, File No. 39038. Joe was the only sibling to my Grandmother Lucille Margaret Fox. He is noted in the 1920 and 1930 Federal Census records living with his family. He married Miss Mary Szymczak of Cleveland on February 15, 1936 where his application listed his mother as 'Catherine' and his own name as 'Mr. Joseph C. Fox, Jr'. To this union was born two sons, Richard Lawrence and Gregory Allen. I unfortunately do not have any photos of Joe Fox to date. Uncle Tommy remembers his Uncle Joe driving a taxi cab when Grandma Katie Fox passed away, working for the "Yellow Cab" Company in Cleveland.

This family is found in the 1940 census while living in Cleveland, Ohio at 7900 Starr Avenue. Joe is noted as 27 yrs of age, Mary as 33 and their son Gregory Allen is noted as 1 yr of age. Joe's occupation is listed a 'Gas Station Attendant'

During one of the two phone calls with his son Greg, I learned that Joe was great at repairing radios and jukeboxes. Greg stated that his father did not talk much about his parent's family history and he knew nothing of the life and death of Greg's sister, Lucille who was my Grandmother. No photographs were offered to me on this search. Greg was located working at NASA in Hampton,VA with the following information:
