Peggie McManus was born on December 14, 1939 in Wisner, LA and passed away February 17, 2012 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, LA.
She was a homemaker and author of 2 cookbooks: "No Fat, Low Fat, No Sugar, Low Sugar" and "No Fat, Low Fat, Some Fat, Alota Fat." She was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. Peggie was a delightful friend and dedicated wife and mother. To know Peggie was to love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents - S. A. and Sara (Caldwell) Morgan; 4 brothers - Robert Morgan, Edward Morgan, Richard, Morgan, and Tommy Morgan; 1 sister - Betty Talbert.
Survivors include: her husband – Lonnie McManus of Winnsboro; 2 sons – Michael Wayne McManus of Shreveport, LA and D. K. McManus and wife Angie of Winnsboro, LA ; 4 brothers – Jerry Morgan and wife Marlin Ann of Walker, LA, Glen Allen Morgan and wife Nelda of Monroe, LA, Phillip Morgan and wife Nihla of Geismar, LA, and Bruce Morgan of Dallas, TX; 3 Grandchildren – Blake McManus, Morgan McManus, and Brant Hall; and 1 Great grandchild – Taylor McManus; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
