Margaret Louise Sarver Hunter Crowe, 80, of Hill Street, Princeton passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 15, 1931 at Goodwins Ferry, VA, she was the daughter of the late Warren Lee Sarver and Fern Lexia Hunter Sarver. Both of her parents were deceased by the time she was 18 months of age, she was raised by her mother's brother and his wife, the late Charles Henson Hunter and Bessie Mae Dowdy Watkins Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Crowe, a daughter, Susan Gatrice, a brother Douglas Sarver and a sister, Evelyn Watkins Sowers. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of great strength and perseverance; she had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Crowe was a good friends and neighbor to all. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters; Brenda K. Crowe and Jennifer Lynn Crowe, her grandchildren whom adored her are Troy C. Price and Shelicia N. Billings and her great granddaughter Natalia E. Carl who put a smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes. She is also survived by Beverly Whitt whom she loved like a daughter and by her sister, Gertrude Headrick of Pateros Washington, Gerlean Martin of Charlotte Court House, VA and one brother, Wesley Sarver of Sedalia MO. Her brother in law, Preston Crowe and his wife Anne and sister in law, Anna Mae Crowe. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Meredith Gudger-Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Hall Family Cemetery on the Halls Rodge Road in Princeton. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Crowe, Tim Blankenship, Butch McPeak, Mitchell Barker, Jackie Barker and Allen Kade.
