Birth: Apr. 24, 1877
Del Rio
Cocke County
Tennessee, USA
Death: Apr. 10, 1893

On the evening of April 10, 1893, fire broke out and caught a tree in Bro. John Lee's field. James T. Kenyon, son of Brother and Sister Edward Clayton Kenyon, and Brother Lee, to whom he was hired, accompanied by L. M. West and Son, went out to cut the tree. While Cutting the tree, a limb fell from it and killed James T. Kenyon dead. It also brushed the side of Bro. West's face. Another chunk fell at the same time and glanced Bro. Lee's shoulder, and came near breaking his arm if it had hit, him, it would no doubt have killed him. J. T. Kenyon was born April 24, 1877, and lacked by 14 days of being 16 years old when killed. The writer was called on to conduct the funeral services. It was six weeks from the day I was called on to conduct the funeral services of Brother Stone's son. Brothers and Sisters, pray for Elder and Sister Kenyon. They and a daughter are members of Pleasant Hill Church (and faithful ones, too) and when none of them are at Saturday meetings, I know that something is wrong. Jimmy was laid in the churchyard at Pleasant Hill to await the general roll calling
