MRS. RHOTON GILBERT DEAD Succumbs yesterday at Providence Hospital after an illness of two months.
Mrs. Rhoton Gilbert, formerly Miss Maybelle Irene Welden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Welden, 325 Grandview Boulevard, died yesterday afternoon at Providence Hospital following an illness of two months. Mrs. Gilbert was married last Thanksgiving day, November 27, 1929. Mr. Gilbert is a road man for the Grollier Society working out of St. Louis. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Gilbert was employed at the Goldman Jewelry company. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1921 and attended the Prescott grade school. Until recent years she was very active in church work. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Besides her husband and parents she leaves a brother, Arthur A. Welden, 222 North Seventeenth Street; sister, Mrs, Clarence Proctor and an aunt, Mrs. Albert Jason (Florence Rebecca Weldon) Scull, St. Joseph, Mo. Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Fulton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers wil be: James Rooney, James McGuire, Lawrence Aaron, Fred Aaron, Roy Bath, and Robert Korss. Walter E. Daish will sing "Face to Face" by Herbert Johnston and "There Will Be No Dark Valley When Jesus Comes," accompanied by Mrs. Mary Daish. The Rev. W.O. Shank will officiate.
