Otho Bronnenberg, 58, 911 1/2 Main St., co-owner with Mrs. Bronnenberg of the Bronnenberg Tavern, died at 3:45 p.m. Wed. at his home, he had been ill about a year.
He was born in Madison County, a son of Sanford and Ann Humphrey Bronnenberg Apr 15, 1880 and spent most of his life near Chesterfield. Mr. Bronnenberg was a member of the Spiritualist Temple congregation. He served on the Anderson Police Force for 12 years 1940-1942 and was a constable from 1942-1955.
Survivors are the wife Lesha, three sons, Orville J., Anderson, Kenneth, Muncie, and Leon, Middletown, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Martina Current, Middletown, Ohio; 1 step-daughter, Mrs. Mary McShirley, Sulphur Springs; one step-son Major Robert E. Sears, Baltimore; 15 grandchildremn; 2 sisters, Mrs. Marie Pierce and Mrs. Edna Merrcer, both of Anderson, a brother, William F died in 1957.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Brown Funeral Home where service will be conductd at 1:30 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Moable Riffle of the Chesterfield Spiritual Camp. Burial will be in the Bronnenberg Cemetery, Chesterfield.
