Emelia Dufour, 89 died peacefully Feb. 15, 2012 surrounded by her family at a Madawaska Health facility. She was born in St. David April 30, 1922 the daughter of Joseph & Josephine ‘Dufour' Lagasse. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Frenchville for 25 years. S
he is survived by six daughters and their husbands Theresa & Philip Plourde of Southington, Ct., Marilyn & Dalton Blais of Dover Foxcroft, Me., Pauline & Reginald of St. Agatha, Me. , Diane & George Dionne of Grand Isle, Me., Carol & Robert of St. Agatha, Me., Linda & Roland of St. Agatha, Me., Seven sons and their wives Fernand & Rinette of Farmington, Ct., Wilfred and Roger both of Frenchville, Me., Normand of Auburn, Me., Ronald & Theresa of Terryville, Ct., Gary of West Hartford, Vernon of Stafford Springs. 27 Grand Children, 27 Great-grand children & one great great grand child. One Brother Armand and his wife Venette Lagasse of Madawaska, Me. Four sister Joan & Gerald, Rena & Gerard and Rose Dionne all of Madawaska and Cecile & Gerard of St. Basile, N.B.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Wallace and one son Roland.
A mass of christain burial will be celebrated at the St. Luce Catholic Church with the Rev. Dave Raymond officiating. Burial in the St. Luce Cemetery in the Spring. (Bangor Daily News posted 2/16/2012)
