Mr. Chace was born in E. Freetown, son of the late Azel H. and Edna M. (DeMoranville) Chace, and was a lifelong resident of the town. He was a member of the East Freetown Congregational Christian Church.
He was the owner/operator of Chace's Woodyard until his retirement. He loved his work and also enjoyed hunting, auto racing and attending agricultural expositions.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by a daughter; 2 sons; 4 sisters and many nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Alice Westgate and Gertrude Chace.
Flowers are acceptable or memorial donations may be made to the family to be used according to their wishes.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
