Thomas was definitely born in Virginia -- probably in Bedford Co, VA, where his parents became Quakers in 1786. He married Latitia/Lettitia "Polly" Sinclair on 23 March 1801 in Bedford Co, VA.
Additional children not linked below:
As of 1-10-2014, eight children are linked below, but Thomas and Latitia/Lettitia had at least two more daughters. They were:
Martha Wright Smith. Born abt 1812 in OH. She married George W. Smith on 13 Sep 1836 in Highland Co, OH. George was born 29 Aug 1813 in Guilford Co, NC; he died 1887 in LaFayette Co, WI. In the 1850 Federal Census, George, age 36, and Martha, age 38, were in Willow Springs District, LaFayette Co, WI, with children Cyrus, 12, Mary E., 10, Charles, 8, Nancy E., 5, and William A., 1. Cyrus, Mary, and Charles were born in OH; Nancy and William were born in IL. That would suggest that the family moved from OH to IL abt 1842-1845 and from IL to WI abt 1848-1849. Martha's husband may be the same George W. Smith as George Washington Smith. Martha is said to have died in Willow Springs District in 1851. If her husband is George Washington Smith, then he married Almyra _____ Smith between Martha's 1851 death and his own 1867 death. Martha's great-great-grandson, Paul Oksnee, would be interested in learning more about Martha.
Rhoda Wright Green. She married Joseph Green on 1 Oct 1841 in Highland Co, OH. She is presumably the Rhoda Green who was with Joseph Green in Paint Twp, Highland Co, OH, in the 1850 Federal Census, and in Clark Twp, Clinton Co, OH, in the 1860 Federal Census with multiple children:
Joseph Green M 42 Ohio Rhoda Green F 41 Ohio May Green F 17 Ohio William Green M 15 Ohio Robert Green M 13 Ohio Sarah Green F 11 Ohio Owen Green M 4 Ohio Joseph Green M 2 Ohio Anna Green F 0 Ohio
In the 1870 Federal Census, they are in Preston, Jasper Co, MO, with the eldest son, William, listed as head of the household despite the fact that his father and mother were living in the household:
William W Green M 25 Ohio Joseph Green M 52 Ohio Rhoda Green F 51 Ohio Robert A Green M 23 Ohio Sarah E Green F 21 Ohio Lindley Green M 11 Ohio Anna West F 10 Ohio
Where is Rhoda Wright Green buried?
