Death of an Old Citizen Mr. Walter Drew, one of our venerable citizens, died at the residence of his son-in-law, John Herbert, at the age of 71 years. After a long life of usefulness, he ended life as the ripe fruit fall to the ground.
The deceased came to this country in 1825, settling in St. Lawrence county, New York, and from thence he removed to this county, spending here the last thirty years of his life. He was highly respected and an industrious farmer, with a large circle of friends and acquaintances. The funeral will take place, at the Cathedral, in this city, on Friday, Nov. 3d, at 10 o'clock, a.m. Services by Father Benoit.
