William Aberle, Sr. 60, operator of a boat livery on Lake Wingra, died early today at a Madison hospital. He formerly was a bricklayer in Madison.

Survivors are his wife: three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn (Otho) Rounds, and Mrs. Nata Bambrough, Madison and Mrs. Mildred (Orvil) Braley, Chicago, and a son, William Jr., Madison.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Fitch-Lawrence funeral home with the Ref. A. D. Willett, pastor of the Trousdale Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill.

Boat Livery Transfer OK'd

In other actions of the board:

ONE. Approved transfer of the William Aberle boat livery concession in Wingra playground, boardering on Lake Wingra, to H. W. Stockton, 865 Terry Pl., teacher at Franklin School.

A letter from Stockton said he has purchased the Aberle boats and equipment to provide summer employment for himself and his son.

Deeded to the city in 1938, the livery has gone through five different operators.

IT HAS changed from a live-in facility under WILLIAM ABERLE in 1936 to a rental and concession stand under the Dewey Fuller family, which has operated it since 1962.
