Lucille "Lucy" Blackburn, 77, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, at the funeral home.
Lucy was born August 26, 1934, in Des Moines, to George and Laura Craig. Lucy worked at Principal Financial for over 20 years, retiring in 1996. She moved to Lincoln, NE in 2000. Lucy enjoyed playing Bingo and loved spending time with her family.
Lucy is survived by her brother, Richard Craig of Lincoln; son, Danny Blackburn of Des Moines; son-in-law, Ed Newman of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jennifer Blackburn of CA, Danielle (Jeremy) Walburn of Des Moines, Roxanna (Jon) Bailey of Pleasantville, Sean Newman of Lincoln, Danny Blackburn, Jr. of Des Moines and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Al Blackburn; son, Michael Blackburn and daughter, Cathy Newman.
