John Parrish married Ruth Farr and had 10 children and 2 died young. They lived on the Parrish Road off Bradley st.They came from England before the Revolutionary War. In the spring of 1803 John started out from Rort Ann, NY for the new lands of Jeff Co. He was a succesful farmer and soon had one of the best cultivated frarms in the town. He was a great hunter,a leader in the church and school for yrs.
