Birth: Feb. 23, 1832
Georgia, USA
Death: Apr. 4, 1906

Noah seems to have been the son of North Carolinians Dennis Dilda and Lucy Jane Dilda (both born circa 1806.)

He married Nancy Johnson (1834-1892) in Gwinnett County, Georgia, on May 24, 1850. He married Mary Corley Jenkins (1858-1925) in DeKalb County, Georgia, on August 8, 1893.

Mr. Dilda enlisted as a private in Company C, 12th Battalion, Georgia Artillery. (Sources differ as to whether this was a light artillery or a heavy artillery.) He renounced his allegiance to the Confederacy on July 4, 1867.

Information other than that taken from grave marker came from U.S. Census enumerations for 1850 (with what appear to be parents and siblings in Berkshire, Gwinnett, Georgia,) 1860 (with spouse (Nancy) in Gwinnett County, Georgia,) 1870 (with spouse (Nancy) and 15 year-old Fulton Duren in Shallow Ford, DeKalb, Georgia,) 1880 (with spouse (Nancy) and children in Berkshire, Gwinnett, Georgia,) and 1900 (with spouse (Mary) and daughter in Berkshire, Gwinnett, Georgia;) Georgia, Marriage Records From Select Counties, 1828-1978 (both marriages;) U.S., Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles, 1861-1865; U.S. Civil War Soldiers, 1861-1865; and Georgia, Returns of Qualified Voters and Reconstruction Oath Books, 1867-1869.
