"Mrs. Mary F. Knapp, wife of the late Theodore Knapp, died at the home of Adelbert Flint in Worcester, on Friday morning of last week at 5 o'clock from a heart attack. She had been his housekeeper since the death of his wife several years ago. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 at the Tillapaugh Funeral home here. The Rev. Wheaton P. Webb, pastor of the Methodist church of Worcester, officiated and burial took place in the Elk Creek cemetery. Schenevus O. E. S. chapter of which she has been a member for many years, had charge of the service. Born July 14, 1869, at Elk Creek, the daughter of Leslie and Anna (Groff) French, she was married to Theodore Knapp in 1890, and they followed farming in this vicinity until his death in 1923. She was a member of the Methodist church, Elk Creek Grange and O. E. S. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lyman Flint of Worcester; one son, Fred Knapp, of Elk Creek; four grandchildren, Dorothy and Donald Knapp, Mrs. Vivian Allen of Albany, and Pvt. Ernest Sissum of Camp Edwards, Mass.; one great grandchild, Richard Allen; one brother, Harry French of Schenevus; and two nephews, Russell French of this vicinity, and Lewis French, who is in the U.
