❤ He was a hard worker. He worked at the Frederick canning factory, the Blue light cab stand as a dispatcher ,Klines paving as a flagman and Amoco gas station. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He also was very good playing the grab machine and winning stuffed animals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He liked watching game shows and old movies. His favorite actor was John Wayne. I remember him telling us when he was a young man, he went in a bar to have a beer and in walked Roy Clark, the singer and co host of the tv show Hee Haw. Roy was doing a show at a place in town and back then famous people would go in places like that with everyone else. He sat next to daddy and talked with him a while. Daddy loved that and said Roy acted like a regular person and was a really nice guy. Daddy loved telling the stories about meeting him and several other country singers and actors to us. He enjoyed going to the Frederick Keys Baseball games and listening to the Baltimore Orioles games. He also liked country music. He was a loving and giving person even when he was young. When he was about 8 his father died when he got hit by a truck walking home from work. Val quit school when he was 14 to get a job and help his mother take care of his family. He was also a good friend to all he met. One of his favorite things to do in September was to go to the Great Frederick Fair with his best friend Melvin 'Zeke' Wachter and play bingo, eating and going to the tractorpulls and even was friends with one of the hell divers motorcycle stunt drivers. Later in life he accepted the Lord as his Savior and got saved. He passed away from c.o.p.d., congestive heart failure complicated by pneumonia. We miss and love him very much.

IN MEMORY OF MY PAPPY

Its been seven years that you have been gone.
When I first heard the news, i wish they were wrong.
There was still so much that i wanted you to see,
like me graduating and passing my GED.
I miss being your sweetheart, and always bringing you your pop.
Even all the stuffed animals from the claw machine that you never dropped.
You loved John Wayne and i liked to sit and watch.
You even shared your mini sausage sandwiches with me, and boy they hit the spot!
I miss you now more then I ever have, I am so blessed to have had you for my grand-dad.
I love you so much and you always made me happy, you will always be in my heart My Pappy.

In Loving Memory

Vivalis Andrew Wolfe
Born June 27, 1933 - June 8, 2007

It has been six years since you left this earth.
For upon this day of your birth,
Today you would have been eighty years old.
But all we have left is your memories to hold.

Thus many men have walked here through the ages,
Memories of them in books and on pages.
We've read of their battles and conquests thru the years,
But of this man only loved ones and friends have ears.

For thus when this man was a young lad,
His father died and he quit school to become the "dad".
Working long and hard all his life,
Making many friends and taking a wife.

Four children he did raise,
Though getting very little praise.
I know a perfect man he was not,
But a man we do not want forgot.

The shows he watched, His favorite being John Wayne.
The games he played, the claw/crane.
Though he didn't fight at the "Alamo".
Dad, you will always be my HERO!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! We Love You
