OBITUARY

NORMAN K. MORRISON, OF DELL, SCOTSTOWN.

Dell -- Norman Kenneth Morrison passed away at his home here on June 28, following a long illness.

A resident of Dell for many years he will be sadly missed in his community. Although in failing health for many years his interest in the welfare of his friends never diminished. He enjoyed visiting friends and always gave them a warm welcome in his home.

Born in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, on December 4, 1866, he was the only child of Kenneth Morrison and Katie Gordon. The family moved to Quebec in 1870 and took up residence in Lingwick. In 1908 Mr. Morrison came to Dell, where he was employed and later bought the farm on which he lived until his death.

In 1911 he was united in marriage to Etta Campbell. Of this union, one son Kenneth survives. Two other children died in infancy.

Funeral service was held from his late home on Saturday, June 30th, Mr. Donald Smith, student pastor officiating. A solo, "No Disappointment in Heaven," was sung by Henry Mouland. A very impressive part of the service was conducted in Gaelic. John Morrison, a former neighbor, read a psalm in Gaelic and the 53rd Psalm was sung in Gaelic, with John E. MacDonald as presenter. The Gaelic language was Mr. Morrison's mother tongue.

Bearers were John MacDonald, John Morrison, Angus MacDonald and F.O. Norman Campbell.

Without envy or malice, charitable to those less fortunate and patient in affliction, Mr. Morrison earned the friendship of many and the respect of all. His fine disposition, his silent endurance of suffering and his firm and quiet faith will serve as an inspiration.

The large number attending the funeral was evidence of the high esteem in which he was held. Those present were from Scotstown. Gould. Canterbury, Woburn and Milan.

Surviving him are his widow, son, Kenneth, and several cousins, including Mrs. Katie MacLean of Woburn and Mrs. Angus MacKenzie, of Scotstown.
