Elmer Clyde Allshouse, 78, of Greensburg, died Tuesday,
from Mr Allshouse
Oct. 17, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born May 10, 1922, in Hempfield Township, a son of the late Elmer F. and Mabel Deemer Allshouse. He was a retired employee of Brown Boveri in South Greensburg, and was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John's Harrold Reformed United Church of Christ, VFW Post #33, Philanthropy Lodge #225 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple in Pittsburgh and the Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles; sister, Dorothy Grevish; and an infant brother. Surviving are his wife, Marna Gardner Allshouse; and sister, Florence and husband, Gerald Poole, of Tarrs.
Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in St. John's Harrold Church Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Westcoatofficiating. (Everyone should go directly to the church Friday.)
Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. The family wishes memorial donations to St. John's Harrold Reformed United Church of Christ, RD6, Greensburg. Members of both Philanthropy Lodge #225 and Westmoreland Lodge #518 will hold Masonic services Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Terence L. Graft, funeral director, in charge of the arrangements.
