Born Aug. 12, 1895 in St. Clair County Missouri, he was the son of James and Mary (Springer) Neale. He recived his education in Missouri, comming to Marshall County in 1913.
On June 23, 1944 in Missouri, he was married to Corlene Hundertmark Essen and they always made thier home in Marshalltown. Mr. Neale was employed by the M & St. L Railroad for 40years retiring in 1960.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and three brothers.
Surviving is his widow, a step-daughter, Mrs. Walter Giesenberg of route 5 and adopted daughter, Mrs. Richard Warren of Minneapolis, Minn. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four brothers, Paul of Fairbank, Herbert of Northwood, Robert and Rollie Neale both of Appleton City Mo.
