Manuel A. Amaral, 89, died Saturday at home. He was the husband of Cecilia C. (Lopes) Amaral.

Born in Esmolfe, Portugal he was the son of the late Joao A. and Emilia (Amaral) Pinto. He came to this country in 1967 settling in Cumberland.

He was employed by the former Standard Nut & Bolt Co., Cumberland for many years until his retirement.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Mara B. Da Costa; Lucinda L. Cardoso and Maria M. Da Silva all of Cumberland. One brother Jose Amaral and a sister Belmira Antunes both of Cumberland. He also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also the brother of two deceased siblings.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
