Margaret Bingham Evans
Margaret Evans, age 88, died Sept 27, 2002 at her apartment in Sandy, Utah.
Margaret was born Oct 22, 1913 in River-dale, UT to An-drew and Adele Child Bingham. She graduated from Weber High School. Married Durrell Egan Evans Oct 1, 1933 in River-dale. Their mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Margaret was an active member of her church. She was a member and officer of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She and her husband served as missionaries to the Cherokee Indian Nation working in the office of the Principal Chief in Tahlequah, OK. She loved her years of service as a temple worker. She was known for her cheerful, optimistic nature. She loved easily and was easily loved in return.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, and one grandchild. She is survived by her children, Dean (Cecilia), Jay (Janet), Joan Richards, Bruce (Chris), Floyd (Janell); 27 grandchildren; and 49 great-grand-children.
Her family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff at Atria Assisted Living Center in Sandy for their loving care.
Services Tues. 10:30 a.m. Oct. 1, 2002, Little Cottonwood 5th Ward chapel, 6350 S. Rodeo Lane (1545 E). Friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. and Tues. one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
