Virginia M. Coleman, of Chesterton, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 at V.N.A. Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 90. She was born May 1, 1913 in Chesterton, the daughter of Amon C. and Frances S. Parker, both of whom preceded her in death. On Dec. 24, 1939 in Chesterton, she married George M. Coleman, who preceded her in death April 28, 1997. She is survived by a son, Ronald M. (Mary) Coleman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Mary L. Coleman of Fridley, Minn., Bonnie J. Coleman of Chesterton and Sharon K. Coleman of Chesterton; a brother, Willis (Mae) Parker of Chesterton; a sister-in-law, Katie Parker of Indiana; five grandchildren, Paul, Amy, Dawn, Diana and David and six great grandchildren, Krystalynn, Rebecca, Jessica, Candace, Anthony, Kaitlen and Alexandria. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald L. Coleman and a brother, Marvin Parker. She was a life long resident and a home maker. She was a charter member of Assembly of God Church, which became The Lighthouse Christian Center. Entombment at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
