Mr. and Mrs. Robert Conn of Oliver No. 3 have been advised by the War Department that their son, Pfc. Samuel S. Conn, 21, was killed in combat in France on November 19. He entered the service in February, 1943, and went overseas last September. PFC. SAMUEL CONN The body of Private First Class Samuel S. Conn, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Conn of Oliver No. 3, who was killed in action November 19, 1944 near Bozange, France, will arrive in Connellsville Friday night and be removed to the DeCarlo funeral home, North Gallatin avenue, Uniontown. The funeral service will be held there at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
Besides his parents, the soldier is survived by two brothers, Robert and Elwood at home; one sister, Mrs. Fred Lehoman of Oliver No. 3 and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Scott Firestone, also of Oliver No. 3.
