About 1871 he became in lumbering and was employed by Mr. E.B. Ward. For 9 years he was a foreman in the Ward North Mill. About 6 years ago his health started to decline so he bought a farm in Amber. But his health kept declining until he died . The funeral was held at his home. Only 3 of his 6 children are still alive. Taken from the Ludington Newspaper.
