Charles F. BAIRD, 70, retired farmer and resident of the Fulton community for 50 years, died Friday at 3:30 o'clock at his home two miles west of there. Ill four years he had been in a serious condition for the past month. Born in Grant county Nov. 22, 1879, he was the son of James H. and Sarah Ellen DAWSON BAIRD. His marriage on March 4, 1901, was to Laura MACY, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Edith JACKSON, Fulton; Mrs. Evelyn BALDWIN, Osceola, Ind.; Beveridge, Robert and Walter BAIRD, all of Fulton; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emma Van BUSKIRK, Fort Wayne. One son preceded him in death. The body was taken from the Ditmire funeral home this morning to the residence where friends may call. Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fulton E.U.B. church, with Rev. M. E. REED officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery.
